Where children perfect their abilities

As children transition into the 3–6 stage, their focus shifts from absorbing their surroundings to perfecting their abilities through purposeful work. Our Children's House, the Miracles class, provides a vibrant, mixed-age community where children become confident, independent learners.

Guided by expertly trained Montessori guides, children explore five core curriculum areas with hands-on materials that grow in complexity as the child develops, complemented by ICT and bilingual French.

the curriculum

Five areas of study, plus ICT & French

Each area is designed with hands-on materials that grow in complexity as your child develops.

Practical Life & Grace

Children “do house” rather than “play house”, food preparation, gardening and care of the environment build focus, coordination and responsibility, alongside grace and courtesy.

Sensorial Exploration

Specialised materials help children classify by size, shape, colour, texture and sound, a concrete foundation for later maths and science.

Mathematics

Using the Golden Beads and Stamp Game, children physically experience the decimal system and operations long before abstract pencil-and-paper work.

Language & Literacy

Sandpaper letters, the movable alphabet and phonetics support a natural progression from speaking to writing and reading.

Cultural Studies

A “Cosmic Education” approach, geography, biology, science, history and art, fosters a global perspective and love for the sciences.

ICT & French

Digital literacy is introduced hands-on and concept-first, while French is absorbed naturally through daily songs, games and sensory work.

freedom within limits

Why the mixed-age classroom works

In our 3–6 classroom, younger children learn by observing their older peers, while older children reinforce their own knowledge and develop leadership by mentoring the younger ones.

This creates a supportive community where every child progresses at their own pace, in a space characterised by mutual respect and freedom within limits.

Leadership & mentoring

Older children consolidate learning by guiding younger friends.

Learning by observation

Younger children absorb skills and grace from those around them.

Respect & independence

Freedom within clear limits builds responsibility and self-discipline.
